We launched Maji-moto maternity in 2020, the facility will serve a radius of at least 15kms ultimately lessening the burden of Women often seen trekking on foot, riding donkey backs, motorbikes including in extreme cases, being carted away on wheelbarrows while in labour. Edging closer to the aspirations of SDG#3 on promoting health and wellbeing for all ages. The nearest maternity facility is located 20kms away at Ewuaso Ngiro centre.
We will soon launch the now completed Ololoipangi dispensary that will serve the indigenous Ogiek community. The facility will reduce the burden of access to emergency health services as the residents walked approximately 12km to the nearest health facility at Ololulunga centre.
We believe that with simple, fact-based hygiene measures as the main weapon, Kenya and other African nations can slow the spread of COVID-19, flatten the curve, and beat this global pandemic.
