ILEPA is also active in the area of knowledge generation, documentation and sharing. The organization has participated and contributed to a number of scientific research work on a broad range of topics including governance and corruption, Indigenous knowledge systems and practices and climate change and Pastoralism and land tenure amongst others. In doing research, ILEPA endeavors to promote participatory action based research approaches to inform the lobbying and advocacy programme of the organization.
